Mechanical demining is an integral component of humanitarian mine action.
At Armtrac that’s exactly what we believe and also exactly what we design and manufacture too. Mechanical Demining Equipment.
What kinds of mechanical Demining Equipment are there?
There are many different types of mechanical Demining Equipment available, but in this article we will focus our attention to the Mine Roller, commonly used for proving the absence of explosive ordnance on route clearance and sometimes used in Mine Clearance activities.
The Mine Roller
Mine rollers are a working component attached to a Mechanical demining Machine. Once attached, mine rollers can be pushed or pulled to actuate mines. Mine rollers used in this way can often clear a safe path for other vehicles following in its tracks. A mine roller can also be used to clear ground that has already had a visual inspection, identifying unexploded devices by simply rolling over them.
