Armtrac C-IED Mine Roller System delivered to Senegal

The first of four C-IED Mine Roller Systems has been procured by the Senegal Ministry of Defence to be operated with their Puma Armoured Personnel Carriers where there is a possibility of victim activated explosive devices on an intended route or area of ground. This version has been modified from the roller system normally operated with the Armtrac 100-350 Mk2 by adding a hydraulic power pack which allows the weight transfer from the Puma host vehicle onto each of the 14 rollers so that explosive devices, such as anti tank mines with a significant activation weight, can still be triggered. Training will take place in Senegal later this month.

There are plans to purchase three more systems over the next few months.

Eight of these C-IED Mine Roller Systems are also in service with the Saudi Land Forces on the Yemen border together with our Armtrac 100-350 Mk2s.
