What is Explosive Ordnance (Often shortened to EO)
All munitions containing explosives, nuclear fission or fusion materials, and biological and chemical agents. This includes bombs, warheads; guided and ballistic missiles; artillery, mortar, rocket and small arms ammunition; all mines, torpedoes and depth charges; demolition charges; pyrotechnics; cluster munitons and dispensers; cartridge and propellant actuated devices; electro-explosive devices; clandestine and improvised explosive devices; and all similar or related items or components explosive in nature.
What is Unexploded Explosive Ordnance (Often Shortened to Unexploded Ordnance or UXO)
Explosive ordnance which has been primed, fused aremed or otherwise prepared for action and which has been fired, dropped, lunched projected, or placed in such a manner as to constitute a hazard to operations, installations, personnel, or material and remains unexploded either by malfunction or design or for any other cause.
What are explosive Remnants of War (Often shortened to ERW)
ERW consist of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and abandoned explosive ordnance (AXO) but not mines.
Places that are currently at greatest risk of UXO and ERW are those areas that have been subjected to prolonged conflict and war. The machinery we manufacture is designed to counter the trhreat from landmines, UXO and ERW including Improvised Explosive Devices (Often Shortened to IED).
What Makes Us Unique?
- The company’s founder had over 20 years experience in the manufacture of Mechanical demining and clearance equipment.
- Our team of engineers have ongoing research and development programmes so we are always looking to design new and innovative machinery.
- Our machinery has been supplied for use in the US army, French Army, Nigerian rmy. Egypt, Iraq, Chad, Sudan and many other places.
“Armtrac machines are particularly versatile as they can operate demining equipment and many other engineering tools as well. This allows a single platform to operate in a number of different roles and makes them particularly good value for money”
