Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)

Armtrac are a specialist company making directly operated machinery and remote controlled equipment to support Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD). Its equipment is well suited to “defeat the device” during Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) operations.

We have been working in the Explosive Ordnance Disposal industry for many years, providing heavy duty, flexible and mobile platforms and tool kits that can be used for demining, with flails or tillers, or anything relating to bomb disposal from remote detection platforms to investigation and disposal of suspect IEDs.  The versatile nature of Armtrac’s equipment enables the fitting of heavy duty engineering toolkits such as armoured dozer blades for removal of sub-munitions from hard surfaces/ runways or excavators for gaining access to deep buried bombs and recovering them.

We support armed forces worldwide and other industry sectors with quality equipment to help them accomplish explosive ordnance disposal safely.

Who does Explosive Ordnance Disposal?

Generally speaking, the military, police and national guards have highly trained elite personnel who play a very important role clearing and disposing of bombs/ explosive ordnance including landmines, IEDs and booby traps,  Bomb Disposal experts cover three main sectors.

  • Explosive Ordnance Disposal
  • Improvised Explosive Device Disposal
  • Public Safety Bomb Disposal

These experts utilise a selection of protective equipment, such as bomb suits, , bomb disposal robots, and remote surveillance cameras etc. to keep themselves, their colleagues and the general public safe from unexploded devices.

How can Armtrac Help

We design and manufacture a range of armoured mechanical demining machines and EOD vehicles to operate in areas contaminated by landmines and other unexploded explosive ordnance and to provide a means of Technical Survey in Land Release Operations.

Our Founder, Stephen Brown, has worked alongside the Mechanical Mine Action Committee of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
