The Armtrac 20T C-IED Robot
The Armtrac 20T C-IED Robot is an excellent cost-effective option when you must clear tricky and uneven terrain that may contain many hidden risks and hazards to land clearance crews approaching on foot.
This is a remote-controlled vehicle that can be operated from a safe distance from possible hidden threats. This is an excellent choice for mixed terrains that contain scrub and overgrowth, steep banks or heavily compacted ground that needs breaking up and levelling out to create safe access roads for construction operatives.
The Robot can be fitted with several tool kits to suit your needs. It has a hydraulic robotic arm that can be fitted to the vehicle's rear. Armtrac is the only manufacturer in the global marketplace that produces a Robot that carries tool kits on the front and rear simultaneously. The robotic arm can be equipped with attachments to make it easy to clear hard-to-reach areas. Tools that can be bolted onto the robotic arm using a quick hitch system include:
- A Grapple or a Manipulator Grab is ideal for moving EO to a safer location
- A vegetation cutting strimmer designed to reach into areas of vegetation where it would be difficult or impossible to detect or investigate unexploded ordnance
- A Scrape Bucket for exposing buried EO/IEDs
