ARMTRAC MECHANICAL DEMINING & GROUND PREPARATION MACHINES – TESTIMONIAL

ArmorGroup Mine Action has worked with Armtrac Mechanical Demining & Ground Preparation machines since the year 2000.

We worked with the Armtrac 100 and 325 in the Balkans, and latterly we have purchased an Armtrac 100 which is now working in its second year in Sudan. We also own an Armtrac 325 (Bulldog) in Afghanistan.

We have found the self-mobility of the Armtrac machines to be an important plus factor when operating on several sites during any one project, and have been impressed with the reliability and robustness of the equipment, and its ease of maintenance.

The Armtrac 100 we currently use in Sudan is ideally suited to the very difficult terrain in that country and the additional ability it has to move independently and under own power between sites has been a great advantage; as has the machine’s ability to drive where even a standard 4x4 truck will struggle in the wet season.

The Armtrac machines have always withstood both AP blast and fragmentation mines well, including multiple strikes. Whilst we have not experienced an AT mine blast with the Armtrac 100, we have no reason to doubt the various technical reports from trials undertaken against such mines.
