Armtrac Ltd Counter Explosive Ordnance

Armtrac Ltd Counter Explosive Ordnance

There is no doubt that explosive ordnance still represents a considerable threat to security and safety across the world and will do so for many years to come in the aftermath of civil and national conflicts.

Wherever there is a threat from hidden explosive ordnance, the clean-up operation needs careful management, and on-site clearance personnel need to have the right tools on hand to allow them to make the area of the land safe without putting their own lives at risk.

Land mine clearance crews often need to locate, identify, safely remove and defuse or detonate a wide range of explosive ordnance, including munitions stockpiles, combustible materials for bomb-making, IEDs and live explosive devices.

In most cases, land clearance teams will be equipped with the right contractor equipment, operator training and machinery and equipment maintenance training to help reduce risk and save lives in the field.

Armtrac Ltd. designs and manufactures a range of effective counter-explosive ordnance solutions to provide land reclamation teams with the machinery and tools they need to do their job safely and effectively.

An example of a popular counter-explosive ordnance (C-EO)/demining machine we manufacture is the Armtrac20T C-IED Robot Mk2 - Unmanned Ground Vehicle.

Armtrac 20T C-IED Robot

This is an excellent choice for the safe clearance of hidden explosive ordnance. The Armtrac 20T C-IED Robot is also a cost-effective choice when you need a quick and effective solution for clearing a tricky area of unexploded ordnance that is too hazardous for people to enter.

This flexible and versatile remote-controlled option can be fitted with several tool kits to suit your needs, such as a demining flail or tiller. You can fit a robotic arm that can be equipped with a range of attachments, making it easy to clear hard-to-reach places that can contain hidden explosive devices.

This is an ideal remote-controlled demining machine for:

  • Conventional Demining & EO Clearance Operations
  • Counter-EO Operations
  • Counter-IED Operations
  • Mechanical demining where there is restricted access for larger mechanical equipment
  • Mechanical Surrogate Scout for Dismounted Foot Patrols
  • Small clearance operations & area reduction
  • Support to C-IED operations
  • Support to Route Clearance operations
  • Surface/Sub-surface IED Disposal
  • Technical Survey and EO Reconnaissance
  • Vegetation cutting before manual or canine-assisted demining

The Armtrac 20T Mk2 is very useful in challenging terrain that larger machines cannot access. It can comfortably climb, descend and traverse 45° slopes & deep gullies due to its low centre of gravity and power.

Counter explosive ordnance field support

All Armtrac Ltd. machinery comes with a twelve-month warranty and factory follow-up. Our personally operated and unmanned counter-explosive ordnance/demining machines usually come complete with a 12-month spares package to cover any replacement spare parts you may need.

Something valuable to note is that many replacement components used with Armtrac demining machines can be sourced from worldwide suppliers, which means the availability of replacement parts is high. You are never left waiting for weeks for delivery from a single supplier on the other side of the world.

The English versions of demining machinery operating manuals and documentation are provided as part of the purchase package at no extra charge. All operating manuals and documentation is supplied in English but can be translated at a cost.

Armtrac Ltd is committed to a continuous improvement programme as part of its ISO 9001:2015 process. We encourage our clients to submit feedback to ensure we refine and perfect our demining machinery designs moving into the future.

We offer free training courses at our HQ in England to help explain and familiarise you with our machines, tool kits and equipment. Course length will depend on the complexity of the Armtrac machinery you purchase.

However, we also offer in-person training in your operational country, which can be negotiated and provided as part of the equipment quotation.
