Armtrac LTD, based in Cambridgeshire UK, specialise in the provision of Humanitarian Demining Equipment which has been used in post conflict clear-up operations worldwide including in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, Angola and the Falkland Islands. The company manufactures quality, safe and value for money mechanical equipment to counter the threat from a wide range of Explosive Ordnance (EO) including landmines, UXO and Booby Traps but now that those involved in Humanitarian Mine Action increasingly encounter Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Armtrac has addressed this by multi-roling the Armtrac 20T to include C-IED equipment.  As an ISO 9001 company, Armtrac provides quality mechanical solutions using remote controlled technology and on some of the larger machines, an operator's cabin to provide a"bird's eye" view of clearance operations. All equipments use hydraulic quick hitch couplings to attach a variety of counter-mine and engineering/construction toolkits quickly. This allows all Armtrac equipment to, not only destroy, sort and sift EO in situ but also to mitigate the effects of EO & operate in secondary engineering/construction roles beyond their primary function. Armtrac equipment is particularly cost effective & versatile for Humanitarian Operations because they have this second life after, or during mine clearance operations. The company prides itself on producing innovative solutions to a variety of different threats and can design and manufacture for bespoke requirements including search and rescue and other hazardous humanitarian operations where remote controlled solutions provide safety from a hazardous threat.

The Armtrac 20T Robot is the newest of its products. It is a remote controlled Small (Heavy) Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) designed to undertake high risk investigation and De-mining/C-IED clearance operations. This robust and flexible robot is fitted with a diesel engine that can operate for several hours without refuelling and can therefore support lengthy De-mining & C-IED operations. The Robot can be fitted with surface and sub-surface EO disposal equipment including disruptors, real time X-Ray, detection systems and an advanced manipulator for investigating and analysing improvised threats.
